Welcome!

Maya Angelou says, “At our best, we’re all teachers.” True teachers share their lessons on many levels and this website is a vehicle to do just that. It’s Nicole’s firm belief that the more of us talking about what really matters means the fewer of us having to live in fear.

With this site we’re building a revolution–-one that allows people the freedom to do and say what is right for them in constructive and productive ways. Nicole leads that charge with Wildflowers Don’t Grow in Rows, her forthcoming memoir currently in the final stages of editing, and What Can They Teach Us?, a book about how the national treasures who are our teachers can sustain themselves in such a complex political time.

As a teacher and writer, Nicole grounds her work in the belief that if we are truly going to be our best selves, we must be honest about what that means and how that looks for us. This website provides opportunities for teaching and learning how to do just that in a variety of ways. We invite you to explore today and return often.

Welcome.
